Mississinewa 1812 Scholarship Program
Purpose
The Mississinewa 1812 Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to college enrolled students based on volunteer hours served, financial need and an interest to pursue a career in history, education, and community service.
Criteria
Students eligible for this scholarship must be enrolled in college, who
reside within Indiana, who are looking to pursue a history or education
related degree and, based on service hours within our society, academic
performance, previous volunteer experiences.
Guidelines
Scholarships will be awarded to two recipients of $500 plus an additional
gift basket with Mississinewa 1812 related merchandise. Payment will be awarded in January at the organization's annual banquet.
Deadline
Applications must be post-marked by Dec. 15th, 2019 of the following
year after completing the Education committee’s Immersion Program.
Renewal
Process
While this scholarship is non-renewable to previous recipients, all
applicants will be welcomed and encouraged to continue to participate in
the program if desired.
